@redlineridrx17 another 4.0 would be the easiest other engines will require new mounts wire ring and most likely drive line modifications such as adapters from engine to tranny or tranny transfer case you could also stroke out your engine search it on youtube or google.

Hey i have a 2001 jeep wrangler with a 4.0. Does anyone kno what other engines i cpuld swap that will drop right in without buying abunch of parts? Will cherokee motors fit?

how do u know its a 5.7 or a 5.0 i cant tell the difference on my truck

Put skid plates on and you won't hear it anymore. I think it was frame flex on mine then I got a skid plates mounted to the frame and it stopped.

I just got an 89 jeep yj, it sometimes makes a weird creaking/cracking noise when i turn and hit bumps that i think comes from around the rear wheels area, i have heard it is pretty common, does anyone know what it could be and how to fix it?

dude where did u get the computer and the vortec assembly? im doin the same thing on my tj and im stuck tryin to find the parts

c computer and complete wiring from howell eng. the engine mount and adapter from 4l60e tranny to np231 transfer from advance adapters. Enigine and tranny i got from a junked tahoe(crashed from the rear)
