think this, 40 gb of ram ddr2 800 : to buy that, you must to spend 800€ ( value ram )
and now, think 80 gb ( a minimum normal storage disk for OS and program )
a serious ddr2 drive box you will can easyli find for 600€

too fuckyn much money, what the performance of 2 or 4 ssd in RAID ? i think the same, but im not sure

ive have use i-ram of ddr2 6gb for quite sometime. its way alot faster than have boot up storage device out there. the thing is, its ram put together on a device battery operated memory controller. so its only can save data only power supply to it constantly. its costly so its not pratical to use. although for video or photo editing its really alot faster.
sdd is now, its fast enough and will improve and reliable.
