Jamestown 400-piece Orchestra
at 400th Anniversary Finale
May 13 2007

The cameraperson was not in a good spot to see the stage directly, but you can watch the orchestra action on the big screen behind the choir. Unfortunately, her batteries ran out and she couldn't tape the evening orchestra performances.

  • one person hates blue sweaters!

  • I have seen this clip 100 times I reckon, and I still love it. I'm an Aussie, pround of my county too but how great to see these young people so enthusiastcally embrace the national spirit and pride that is so infectious in Semper Fidelis. Thanks for posting it...just wish I had been to celebrate with you. TS

  • @palonejr

What this has to do with the Army, I do not know. This is a march composed by a Marine, for the Marines.

  • the snare solo is so badass

  • The Army has no seasons,

The Sun and the Moon change.

    But not the Army.

  • This song is dedicated to Tom Cruises' character in the movie TAPS because he was a total bad ass and fought to the death for the ideals against the status quo!

  • This song reminds me of and is dedicated to my uncle, Donald Chube (drummer),who played in the Capitol High School Marching Band and in every parade this band would play this song. Today, I asked my uncle the name of this song and he told me. I ran upstair and immediately found it and has been playing for a couple of hours now. My uncle left high school and became a Marine (high rank) and fought in Nam. That was over 30 years ago and I still love and admire the Marines! Thanks

  • One of my favorite marches! It's been in my head for like 2hours now. I had to come listen to it. God Bless America.

  • Very nice, beautiful, and moving. Some persons rise up above our usual petty egoticism. Hail.
