In recent year's the Isle of Ely has celebrated the eel from which it gets it's name with a family orientated 'Eel Day'.
The film opens with some time lapse shots of the Cathedral, taken with our Sony EX3 (from a unique vantage point that we have ready access too!) and the lovely blossom we've had (always seems to be that way following very hard winters). It then mainly covers the procession - very noisy - as it travelled from Ely Cathedral down the High Street and Fore Hill to the beautiful riverside area and Jubilee Gardens. This part was shot with a Canon 7D and Canon 17-55mm IS lens with Polarising filter and hood, all in 1080p and full manual. All edited in FCP and 'downressed' to 720p for YouTube uploading.
Star Radio hosted the various events (a couple of which I also filmed for sharing with family all over the world since our two youngsters performed - not shown here).
If you like this film, look out for my other local films featuring Cambridge, Ely (and it's Cathedral) and my new one on King's Lynn, also here on YouTube. You can also see other films and my professional commercial film work on my website, http://www.shootingimage.co.uk
Enjoy! Andy
