My first actual FPV flight 'under the goggles' with the Reactor Biplane EP FPV Setup. There's a lot of interference and noise on the Mic, sorry about that. Still I prefer that to masking the sound with music. After the initial takeoff attempt where I snagged the wheel, takeoff wasn't too bad and landing were a lot easier than I expected. Flying at high speed on takeoff was a bit sketchy but once I slowed it down, it wasn't bad to control. Also being the first aerial view of this site from the plane it took a little bit for proper orientation.

Here is my current setup.

  • @vickishortland I'll send a PM. I found the tracker hard to use. I suggest contacting EagleT about improving their docs, it sucks. They assume existing knowledge. I found the min. distance setting before tracking is enabled is key. I set the model out in the field at about 40-50 feet turn it on and let it initialize and lock GPS. Then run back and turn the receiver on(I run directional and omni-directional Rx's). Then I walk back and forth to test if the tracker follows.

  • are you using eagle tree antenna tracking. i cant for the love of god manage to get it tracking properly. could u help me? PM me?

  • @vickishortland The OSD Pro works with the eLogger v3 and the GPS module plugs into the eLogger. I bought the OSD Pro because I already had the elogger. There are a variety of OSD packages out there out there which may include the GPS, OSD and Electrical sensing check out the RV-OSD, Black Stork II, EZ OSD, Rush OSD also check an FPV forum like FPV-Community com for suggestions, video of various OSDs and info about what other people use on similar craft. Good luck with your project.

  • HI BUDDY THINKING OF GETTIN EAGLE TREE OSD PRO,QUESTION DO U BEED LOADS OF SENSORS TO FLY? I WANT TO PUT IT IN MY HEXAKOPTER. IM NOT SURE WOT I NEED TO GET IT SORTED. HOW DO U CONNECT THE GPS?

  • @flyby8906 Thanks Gregg, it was way more awesome to fly this way than I expected it to be.

  • Wow well done John looks like you have this FPV down, that was a good flight and a nice landing ^5
