Angels Baseball this morning announced the passing of right-hander Nick Adenhart, the victim of a fatal automobile accident in Fullerton, CA. Two other individuals were also killed in the incident.

Adenhart, 22, was a passenger in a silver Mitsubishi along with three others. Fullerton Police reported the Mitsubishi proceeded through an intersection, when a van ran a red light and broadsided the vehicle. A female driver and male passenger in the Mitsubishi were dead when police and fire department personnel arrived. Adenhart died as the result of his injuries at UCI Medical Center earlier this morning. No other members of the Angels organization were involved.

I'm a Dodgers fan who was actually at this game in which he pitched amazing against Oakland (I was rooting for Oakland since they're my favorite AL team) and ever since then, I get chills seeing stuff like this.

I honestly can say that the Angels had a Ace on the rise with this kid and it was sad to see that he left us too soon

i have been watching baesball since i was 8 (in 2000) so i know good players when i see them and Nick was going to be good i know it even still to this day remembering this chocks me up

he had everything going for him and to be take in an instant is just ... :'(

@hardrock2580 before i opened the story of the news of adenhart dying i saw his picture and said no it cant be nick it cant be. i started to get teary eyed. it was hard enough already losing my friend a couple of weeks ago. i went to the first game after adenhart died i cryed when i saw the memorial and the momement of scielince before the game

im a red sox fan and i was mad when they lost to the angels in 09 but really if the red sox lost i would root for angels for nick
