It's for sure that a whole generation have suffered a lot, whether they win or lose the war.

This song is dedicated to the generation of our nations, who had to burn a city "Smyrna" down, who had to be refugees, who had to live in desolition untill the end of their lives, to pay for their sins.
They gave up a dream, which we are trying to let everyone remember and keep in our memories.

If there is any little possibilty to live, at least a part of that dream again, the only way to success is to remember and learn from their mistakes.
