This is my version of the bass line of Barry White's 1974 hit "You're the First, the Last, My Everything", performed with my MusicMan StingRay bass guitar over a custom-rendered, MIDI-based backing track.

ABOUT THE SONG
Originally written as a country song by Peter Radcliffe with the title "You're My First, You're My Last, My In-Between", this song was re-written and arranged by Barry White, Tony Sepe and Peter Radcliffe.

Produced by White in 1974 and included in his third album, "You're the First, The Last, My Everything" was White's fourth top ten hit on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, reaching #2; it spent a week at #1 on the Billboard Hot Soul Singles chart.

The recording was engineered by Paul Elmore and Frank Kejmar

Thabks BadFad. I'm really enjoying this. I'm facinated by the rhythm: like how you flip the locations of some of the quarter notes here & there. Can you tell me if got that from reading, from ear (listening close to the origional) or from feel.
