@MissVictoryGirl I'm not trying to be offensive on popular japanese Tv shows, I just don't like it that kids younger than 13 are watching somthing with cursing, death and death refrances, but I would say the turning evil is on the ok side for kids. And I gotta admit not all the effects are that bad.

@sonicwinx77 If you mean the effects, precious few Japanese live action TV shows have non-cheesy special effects. But if you literally mean it's cheesy because of swear words, a death and people turning evil? I don't get you. What you're basically saying is that the creator of the characters is *wrong* because you don't like it this way, when this is probably the most faithful televised version.

i loved this series as a kid!! Now that I look at it, the battle scenes are really kind of corny haha but oh well, the characters were very likable

I don't know why the "hardcore anime" fans bash on this so much. It was a great hit in Japan because it combined J-drama elements into the story. If it was directed for a western audience, it would have been dubbed and released. So get over yourselves, it was never meant to represent the anime to begin with.

@sonicwinx77 If you were a real fan you would know that there is a manga that was thorn to pieces by that bullshit anime and that the girls form the manga were far more serious than their obsessive and infantile anime counterparts.

By Naoko Takeuchi's standards, Rei was never meant to be a fucking rag bitch that kept yelling and nagging. Rei was always hot tempered, but also calm and serious, with strong convictions about friendship, a respectable miko, not a loudmouth.

1.- Yes Minako dies, it's not cheesy, it's actually a lot more hardcore than cleansing beasts with hearts and rainbows.

2.- Again, cussing is not cheesy, it means you have emotions that other words can't express.

3.- I'm sorry if you're such a sore looser that believes the anime ever respected their personalities, but if you were an actual fan of the series you would know that these girls' acting is way more faithful to Naoko's ORIGINAL characters.
