Here be a low budget promo i recently completed for Rough Trade, anti-folk songster Jeffrey Lewis (www.TheJeffreyLewisSite.com). Its the single release from his recent album 12 Crass Songs, 12 reworkings of salient songs by 80s punk legends Crass. It was created using a cacophony of techniques from stop-mo to composited puppetry by UK animation director Mikey Please(www.mikeyplease.co.uk).

Wow. Some of these comments are sort of really stupid. I am a huge crass fan, and have been for many years, I just recently learned of jeffry lewis and personaly love what he has done with the songs. good song, good video. And to all you assholes bashing on him for changing the lyrics, thats what a true cover does, you take a song from someone else and put your own personal touch to it. Look at movie remakes. Theyre not done line for line.

@ThePoliticsOf Crass were actually quite complimentary about the album. Your argument is pretty much invalid. JL does a great job and there is room in the world for both versions of these songs. Get over yourself mate.

@Coco92144 Couldnt agree more mate. I mean it's almost a Crass album, the least you can do is get your hands in your big fat pockets and splash some of that dirty money that you pretend to feel so guilty about having.

If you can you should seriously buy the album. Jeffrey Lewis does an amazing job on every song, and he donates half of anything he makes to charities. I couldn't take this CD out of the player for about a month. Its worth the money. I love pirating just as much as the next person but this album was worth every penny and then some.
