I remember this washer as a child. It had a big on and off switch on the front in red. It was a huge switch that clunked when used. On the front was a door that you opened and put the wringer inside to store. This machine used to fascinate me and I would happily watch my mother doing the washing.

Sometimes the wringer would spin round and wallop her on the arm and she'd kick the washer. It never made a dent because it was so well made. I think she gave it to my sister when she got married.

I have watched this probably 30 times & for some reason I am not tired of it... it's quite a washer..... wish you would show how the wringer works

They wash just as good as automatics.Even better cause you can let it wash as long as you like.And great to see a senior wringer still going.Take care of that machine please...

There's no difference between that washer and the top loaders made today, except a few gismos, automation and refinement
