@DigitaIgenocide nah dude put a 3.3 in it. i have a traxxas nitro rustler 2.5 i ran it too lean and damaged the sleeve too. instead of me buying a piston sleeve, i put a traxxas 3.3 in my rustler and its hella fast. check my video out!

Sorry I posted the other comment b4 the video ended .. i just saw someone ask what the "red sealer" was.. I see u used the copper stuff... I guess a little better than the red high temp silicone.. but still not correct to use on these materials...Still, go with the gray or black. you wont go back! lol They really work the best.. Its great to use on the carb inlet to seal that as well. A perfectly sealed engine will run better and a LOT more consistantly!

@MarsManJR15 No worries! =) A lot of this is preference. I had one guy tell me the "hobby grade" tubes were a ton better. The sad part is, its the same stuff. I have a tube of the copper and a tube of the black. For the ideal engine temps its almost a wash between the two but really depends on what you do and where you do it. I suggest to try both and see what you like over several gallons.
Either way, great advice for anyone who needs it. =)

You sent your engine out to get a port job?... You don't do that yourself? With all the how to vids you have I'm pretty surprised.. I have a motor mod /fab bus. and these engines are the easiest thing in the world to mod... But anyways .. the red silicone sucks and smells like shit lol..The gray or black Permatex doesn't smell much & they work a LOT better and hold up better to fuel and solvents ...Its what most motorcycle engine/transmission cases are sealed with So easily handles Nitro temps

@MarsManJR15 For me, there are some things that I would prefer others to do over time and setup. I typically am working 7 to 10 projects at a time =) And kicking some cash to a friend is not always a bad thing to help others out =)
I go through some of my feelings on the black in the other post. For me, I tear down the engine for inspection and cleaning after a full run day, etc. So, longevity vs fuel. etc deterioration is not a huge factor for me

i was having problems with my 2.5r revo and it turns out the piston was broken up and i looked online and you can only but a sleeve and piston. can you buy just a piston or am i better off just getting a new engine

@DigitaIgenocide You want to replace both the piston with the sleeve.
