  • crap video quality

  • What kind of fucking amazing rain is that????

    I want that toooo!!!

  • Where I can get that map?

  • dannyreign, the "Beta Source Engine" that you're ever so upsessed about was on Directx 8 in 2003, meaning it would've included a lot lower res textures, smaller maps, worse ai and so on. You were too busy watching the E3 videos they were presenting on a huge rich screen, that enhanced the lower quality source engine. Get your facts strait.

  • Well the orange box is out where can I get this program?

  • AMAZING! when it comes out, his update for multicores?

Valve says when Orange Box is launched, but when?? :(

  • You fail to realize this was a demonstration of the possibilities in a multi-threaded engine that is scalable. Your ignorance shines in the above post. The new engine is not mainly graphical effects by any means. It is reworking the entire structure to take advantage of multiple cores. NOT a trivial task.

  • Truth, and with the same low-res shit.

Let's face it, the only thing they've added are mainly effects.

Sure, they're nice, but on graphic level, it's inferior to the Beta Source engine, that they had back in 2003, and which they got rid of beacuse they wanted the new game to be "more accesable to less-performant pc's", which ironically enough, it's not.

Btw, is this the season of late replyies or what?

  • It's Source Engine 2, this is an upgrade from the original Source engine that all the other Source games used.

  • Hey. Shut up.
