It's an interesting song because it is relating deep truths and exploring questions about the seemingly heavy aspects of life but it is quite uplifting and in all major chords. It's hinting that misery isn't as depressing as it seems and that it is what leads to the true riches in life. The riches of the spirit that will not be found in any university, but only in the beauty of that melody from the darkest hour.
