This is a video of the 110 bedroom gilded age mansion known as Lynnewood Hall. Home to the Widener family until the 1940's it was a gallery for the families art collection (now in the Smithsonian) and is a work of art itself. This is the only actual video footage of the house in youtube. Enjoy!

  • This breaks my heart......

Those inhabiting might as well be squatters.... America does not appreciate their architectural wonders...

  • So loved your video.First saw this beautiful estate on the jsfmt99 video post.He posted only poodles guarded the house.I have come to really love this domain, and in my wildest dreams, wish I could walk in/or raid in with 9mm automatic....lol,I know, that's how much the current owners, who have no respect for this beautiful property,I hate.If I were Bill Gates, would be a much different story. The Church who owns it has no respect for this, and is really sad.

  • @bluejay148 i cant walk into your home uninvited either. nothing odd about that

  • @doucefrance28

It isn't just the states. There are many wonderful abandoned structures all over the world.

  • @doucefrance28 - I cannot even tell you how much I agree with your sentiments doucefrance28! I'm even from the United States, and I love the idea of preserving old residences/homes like Lynnewood or Whitemarsh (though we know Whitemarsh is long gone, demolished) I always wonder why the U.S. is not so interested in the former Gilded Age mansion of Lynnewood Hall, and why on earth they could have destroyed Whitemarsh Hall... Yes I realise it was vandalised and in derelict position, but... alas....

  • @doucefrance28 Actually the mansion and grounds are owned by a Korean church and not by Americans. Options have been proposed but all have been declined by the owners...again not Americans.

  • This truly is a tragic display of what should be an American Historical site for all to enjoy. OK, I get it that Yoon dude bought it, but he could also sale it to. I do not understand why he holds onto it and does nothing at all with it other than put dogs in it. :( Lynnwood Hall shoudl be restored to its original glory for all to see!!!

  • So what the church just forced their way in. How does this work. It's a damn shame.

  • didnt the rev moon have property inthis area? I wonder if the moonies are involved ?

  • your videos are very good, but you need to have a script so you sound more knowlegebale. you don't need to keep your audio notes on the finished video.

  • that sounds fishy there are cars in that lot and people in that lot and cant go in there something odd there

  • This building is abandoned? my god. In Spain, where I live, would be unacceptable
