"Logic for first graders" oh i c.

@TheAfroThunder1 Not talking about the affair. The stereotype was them being excessively obnoxious about God not existing and then giggling awkwardly over it. It was when they first met.
And yes. The stereotypical view that, when faced with a big enough crisis, an outspoken atheist will turn to God in a panic.
-
@ometta7 Her having an affair was not centred around being an atheist. Having an affair because your an atheist is not an atheist stereotype.
The joke was that Brian was willing to "betray" what he believed.
-
@TheAfroThunder1 The awkward conversation between Brian and that atheist girl in the bookstore rings a bell(the episode where Stewie convinced him to wait on having sex with her and she screwed Cleveland instead). It made atheists look like smug jackasses in a way that was clearly intentional.
Also the episode where everyone thought the world was ending and Peter said he hates his kids, Brian was caught praying to God in a corner and Stewie called him out on being disingenuous.
-
@ometta7 Hm... When have they made fun of Athiesim? (Not counting Glenns rant on Brian)
-
@TheAfroThunder1 This is a show based on exaggerating any stereotype and mocking pretty much all belief structures.
MacFarlene has even made fun of atheists in his cartoons.
-
@ometta7 Exaggerating a stereotype can be funny. Doing it EVERY FRIGGIN' EPISODE IS NOT!
-
@TheAfroThunder1 No. He's exaggerating a stereotype for comedic effect.
-
I find it funny how Brian has meet Jesus and Santa and is still an Atheist

@Melbourne619 I agree.
@Melbourne619 False. This is very funny.

@Melbourne619 You should have said it wasn't funny TO YOU. The majority get both the joke and the indication of a real issue.
