I agree with you! The "couple" Livingston-Eans wrote a lot of beautiful songs in the 50s-60s. I saw the movie in 1960 or so and the melody of the main song remained in me much longer than the movie itself. Now I'm in touch with an american girl by the name of "Tammy", born in 1977. Strange to be said, but she knows and loves the song too, though much much younger than it.
