Video compilation of what happened at Levisham on T|he North York Moors Railway Spring bank holiday weekend 1988, the Sunday. A train arrived from Pickering worked by GWR No 6619 with a Warship diesel at the rear. Then another train arrived worked by an unidentified steam loco from Grosmont. This train also had a diesel at the rear, a Deltic with smoke being given off from it. Both trains then left leaving both diesels behind. I could not see what happened then, until the Warship shunted the Deltic into a siding, and left at the rear of the next train to Grosmont. Later I saw a Fire engine which had attended the incident.

  • Deltic = Tulier

  • The 'unidentified steam loco' is Lambton tank No 5.

  • The other loco looks like one of the Lambton Tanks
