This was recorded in Ganz Hall at the Chicago College of the performing Arts at Roosevelt University. I was supposed to record Rachmaninoff's Second Piano concerto with my piano professor, but we pushed it back 2 weeks. I had the hall reserved so I decided it would be cool if I just remade some of the older videos that were way lower quality. I recorded 10 videos, 3 of them are new pieces. These are probably some of the last classical music videos i'll upload for now, i'm going to be doing other music types on here, thanks for watching!

  • eh lol what's he wearing

5/5 for the playing though, i like the soft touch for pieces of music like this.

seriously lol americans are too relaxed about what they wear in a concert hall.

  • I wonder how many people dress like penguins when they are recording themselves for fun during a break at school, I guess those people wouldn't be American because if they were, they'd know better.

  • wow you just tried to imply americans are clever...

  • It's how we take the lead, win at things and show everyone else how it's done.

  • i'd stop there if i were you... you're starting a battle that was lost long ago.

being patriotic about a country like yours... well it isn't the most intelligent way of thinking.

  • Now that's where you think you are correct, making an incredibly stupid comment on my video and then calling this a "battle". Maybe if you spent more time being productive, like learning to play an instrument, you wouldn't be that bored to make dumb comments on my videos. If this is about patriotism, then you already lost lol, no one knows or cares where you are from.

  • Who gives a crap about what the person wears on this video ? The important point of the entire video is to show the talent in playing the piece at hand, we can never please absolutely everyone with no matter what we do anyways.

    Cheers

  • You have really inspired me today Cambry. You play most of my dream pieces. How long have you been playing? I am from west africa, Ghana and have been playing classical piano about 15 years. Live in new york now. Funny how you get so many negative comments only cos you are black. its shame. U are a great pianist in the making. Let no one put u down. This is what you love, so keep doing it ! sending you some love! Take care bro

  • amazing....... This is the best version i've ever heard... the only interpretation that comes close to this is Francis Plante who heard Chopin himself play, and Plante was also a student of Liszt! So yeah, bravo!!!!! definately subscribing! i bet you Rach the Rachmaninoff no 2!!!!

  • @PianoPlaya123 You mean we're not supposed to dress up in tuxedo and bowtie when we're practicing? I wish I'd known that 45 years ago.

Come to think of it, my parents DID give me funny looks when they saw me dressed to the nines in the living room, running through Czerny.

  • Very beautiful! Love the tempo because it gives my old ears a chance to hear all of the notes.

  • Thank you!

  • PianoPlay123, thank you for such an amazing performance of this beautiful Etude.

Please tell me a little about yourself because I feel like I know you. Your playing has spoken to me.

  • Ehhh how is there even an argument about something that silly.. Just close your eyes and pretend he is wearing a tux if you don't like it. It should be about the music, right? And the music is beautiful, this is my favorite version of my favorite chopin. Welllllll done :]

  • beautiful playing! i listened to alot of versions, and yours is the best =)

  • Buen tempo, buena técnica pero... ¿Y los matices? Demasiado "plano".
