One the great American myths is that the puritans left to escape religious persecution. The truth is they went to the New World because they wished to enforce it. The poor old Quakers had a difficult time at the hands of "enlightened" Puritans...

Proud descendant of the Mayflower society!!

Ok, I committed some grammar mistakes in my post, I missed some past conjugations and so. But, the sarcastic argument still holds. The idea is that the same rantings shouted today by bigots against non documented immigrants could be used against the XVI and XVII century English pilgrims.
And, just try to write fast in your third language and you´ll see that mistakes are hard to avoid.

@powerdriller10 your argument would be a lot more effective if you learned grammatically correct English and factual history. Most of what you state is misinformation or completely inaccurate!

@powerdriller10 . "First feigned to thanks the americans and then proceed to socavate them. Modern anti-inmigrant bigots should deplore the May Flower!!"
What planet are you on anyway?

@powerdriller10 That's really clever until someone with a functioning brain reads it.

The May Flower pilgrims were the first illegal aliens in America. They entered with no documents, took resources without asking, they threatened the native culture (and eventually destroyed), change the racial profile, brought foreign costumes and refuse to adapt to American society, ruin the economy and the future of the americans inhabitants and so for .... First feigned to thanks the americans and then proceed to socavate them. Modern anti-inmigrant bigots should deplore the May Flower!!
hey moron, the pilgrims LEFT England because they sought freedom of religion.....they wanted to worship as they chose....they couldn't care less what anyone else did...they never made any attempt to convert anyone in England and never sought any power over anyone...read a book for a change, you idiot.

No clean water, no modern sanitationand being dead in the water for long periods of time. It's like being on a Carnival cruise.
