MMA:30 recently spoke to a number of UFC and Strikeforce fighters and coaches to get their perspective on some trending topics in MMA. Urijah Faber, Brian Bowles, Cung Le, Danny Castillo, Joseph Benavidez, Ray Sefo and King Mo Lawal talked about whether they feel MMA will ever become a college sport and touched on the subject of smaller fighters breaking their hands so often.

  • castillo is right. there will be MMA clubs in college, but not a sanctioned sport.

  • MMA will never be a college sport or an Olympic sport. It seems like whoever would ask if it could be is an idiot.

  • You break your hand because you're not landing the punch right. The ligher guys have more of a problem maybe cause they are faster throwing the punch and thier opponent is faster so its harder to land the punch correctly.
