  • eww leeches I was just messing around and youtubed "pet leeches" for fun. I didn't really think that people kept them as pets. But that's cool though. Where do you keep them? In a tank?

  • Sage keeps them in a large plastic peanut butter jar with tiny holes poked in the lid. I don't know the life expectancy of a leech, but those things are still alive and well today. Creepy, but well.

  • Sage has seven leeches now that primarily feed on the detrirus that we scoop from the pond. I have been amazed by how hardy these little suckers are. Occasionally we'll toss in a few tiny scraps of raw beef as a treat.

  • If i had a pet leech i would call it larry the lawyer, and i would most deffinately let it suck my blood. Stops blood clots. :)

and whats with these people afraid of blood?

just because its meant to be in the body, doesnt mean it always has to be.

  • What do you feed it? o0

  • where did u get te leech from im getting 1

  • The way they move is mezmorizing

  • @mygombada if youre still wondering they live for around 10 years if fed every 6 months

    i love them soooooo much

i feed them aquatic snails if that holds any revelence ;)

  • If leeches can be pets, why not keep pet tapeworms

  • holy shit. Mine just had babies and I don't think I'll want them that long.

  • Yep. Or a jar. haha

  • Leeches can have a lot of weird diseases though that can be easily transfered through the blood. I have a pet leech, and I would never let it suck my blood.

  • wow, Just today we were at a lake near our home and me and my sis found some super tiny leeches on some rocks i mean there like half a centimeter long! at first i was creeped out but then saw some stuck to my leg, it was creepy but i wasnt scared so we caught some and now have them as pets
