Doctors' offices across Central New York are packed with sick patients and 'What's Going Around' might surprise you. It's not influenza - at least not yet. More than 500 people were treated before 4 p.m. Monday and the phones were still ringing off the hook Tuesday at CNY Family Care in East Syracuse. Amanda Carelli made a visit after coming down with a fever and sore throat. Turns out she's far from alone. "We are being inundated with phone calls for sinus infectious, bronchitis, infection of the stomach, bacterial infections, viral infections," Family Physician Dr. Louis Bonavita said. While the spread of the stomach bug and respiratory infections aren't anything new at this time of year, the sheer number of people getting sick is different. It may have to do with Central New York's mild winter, especially when it comes to sinus infections. Snow and cold usually keep mold and fungus in check. "That may inflame people's sinuses via allergy symptoms. Then, you get a secondary viral or bacterial infection," Dr. Bonavita said. If you do get sick, follow Amanda's lead and take a day off. Other advice for preventing the spread of illnesses includes hand washing, using hand sanitizer and coughing into your arm, not your hand. CNY Family Care just had its first patient admitted to the hospital because of the flu. Doctors encourage flu shots, as they expects influenza to pick up over the next two weeks. NewsChannel 9 also spoke with Dr. Robert Dracker Tuesday. He says it's hard to determine if the flu may be holding off because of the mild weather. He says it could also be due to the fact that more people are getting immunized. Dr. Dracker adds it's been the mildest flu season he's seen in a very long time and when that happens, people tend to see respiratory illnesses fill the void.

I live in the uk and my brother along with some friends have been really sick with somesort of strange virus (coughing up a thick brown mucas, unable to breathe etc). The virus seems to last (between 4 to 6 weeks) Ive never seen my brother as ill before.

It hasn't escaped my notice that we've had heavy chemitrail spraying lately. I also remember getting very ill in November 2009 after heavy chemtrail spraying...Thought I was gunna die.

i was sick sunday, chest infection , sinus infection , I LIVE in central New York, its is now 5 days later and i am totally fine. Praise God He is in control

@horsemom78 Thank you so much!! I just started taking Argentyn 23, which is colloidal silver, and I am already feeling better. You just reconfirmed it as I was given this as a suggestion by someone else. I will look into the diatomaceous earth as well..and never, ever make this mistake again..blessings

@vickie1124 how do you know? have you tried it? I do know that it works! I can't use hand sanitizer as it is too harsh, and gives me rashes. the alcohol in it causes my skin to dry too much and leaves it un protected from elements that can then sink into my skin, hence not being very efficient. are you a nurse? you sound like one!

@wishfix very true! have you been to the cdc website? if you do a search on "zombie apocalypse" they actually have a plan devised for an out break of such a sort when the "undead" will have an unsatiable hunger, this may be the explanation to Rev.9 if you go to "misshotyoga" and watch her vid on this it will explain more! it's mind blowing, to say the very least!

@jeustor please try colloidal silver to pull those terrible toxins out of your body, also FOOD GRADE diatomaceous earth this will take out the heavy metals! I know I pose a risk telling you this, my motivation stems from the fact that I only wish someone had told me of these things sooner, before I had religiously taken my kid's to recieve all of the WIC imposed, immunization's which most are proven to be nuero toxins and will cause auto immune problems! healthy or not, they seek to distroy you!

@shdebra please look into oregano oil (carvacral) it is the very best I have found so far as to getting rid of the mystery illness's that pop up around us! my 2 year old was sick for a month, could not kick it, my friend told me about it and in 3 day's she was totally done!!! my blinded family members will not take my experienced advice of this, and ther babies are always sick, yet they still seek doctors, who will do more hurt than good!

@jenilyn777 yes I agree, last year in aug. my horse got sick mysteriously right after the horse next to him had got her vaccines (I don't vaccinate at all!) I believe that he had gotten sick from her as she was having a small bad reaction to her vaccines, I reaserched it and confirmed that we can pass the vaccine bacteria to others. he has never been sick in the 4 years that Ive had him  untill we started boarding horse's that get vaccines and then you are stuck becuase only the vet has solution

@killinthemachines LOL. Small country Mining town here. They use Barium salts to take moisture out of the air...ie. Harldy rains here. Dont want their precious coal getting wet. Definitely don't get flu shots,they're designed to screw you up!Theres alot of products to build a super immune system like vit.D and vit.C,etc. Take collodial silver and Oxysilver that blast's these microb's and viruses.Its no match for this stuff but they don't want you to know that so they tell you to get flu shots so it sterilizes you and damages/splits your DNA.Yes,you read that right.Google both and seek the knowledge!
