Have I died and gone to Heaven? What a fabulous transformation having seen the previous reports. - Roland is really envious......
Also love this track Jon - it's on one of the Studio 2 samplers.
Top notch job - - - -of course.

I still have my late GP42/AL42 still mint, bought new in Nov.72, then fitted with SP25 Mk111..It was discounted ( £45.50 & £23.40 ) as it was then obsolescent, having been superceded by the transistor Grenadier.I collect all Hacker equipment from 1960.Look out for the 1961 battery Talisman portable radiogram, mega rare and amazing performer..The knobs on your GP42 are from the Grenadier, I am certain they were never fitted to the GP42.Keep up the good work, they were indeed the RR !.Roger.

@flammasherman
The knobs on this Gondolier are not from a Grenadier?
The Grenadier knobs are far smaller and don't fit the potentiometer shaft.
There were 3 styles of Gondolier knobs fitted during production...The ones on this machine are N.O.S Hacker replacements specific for the Gondolier. Try a Grenadier knob you will see for yourself.
I have 2 Talisman's...Nice machines...They eat batteries like sweets...haha!
Love SP25 MKIII's But I prefer 2025TC or 3000 models...I like to drop singles :)

Great job on the restoration. Looks great and sounds excellent! I think I like that album cover better than the record though!
Your shop is way too organized!

@727JeffN Thanks Jeff...The girl on the record covers is yours if you want her...She's way into her 70's now...Help yourself...haha!!!
Organized?...Ok...Give me 10 minutes and I can make it just like uxwbill's kitchen table for you...haha!!!

What a cracker! Looking and sounding perfect - a real Rolls Royce amongst record players! I wish it would rain here, then I would have an excuse to get back into the workshop and get on with some restorations rather than doing all the boring outdoor jobs that need doing! Love the music from Mr. Vout Stainhouse ( I keep saying it now I know how!)
Top video!

@pyestudiocolour Thanks Neil! I've had to put quite a lot of parts into this one...It all seems worth while in the end though...You know yourself that you can make these old beauties almost better than new with enough effort and time. I find it very rewarding!
I'm doing a rain dance in anticipation of seeing that lovely Fidelity of yours come back to full health when you get some workshop time! :)
