right on :) it's like they think 'hey it's cool to be different' and go out of their way to be CONSIDERED different when they're actually copies of everyone around them

A large proportion of Indie kids are just as brain washed and obsessed with 'their' music as mainstream Bieberites are. Just look, really look, at the general flavour of the comments. Shaping your identity through music is not the same as appreciating the music and filtering it through your senses. If you can't filter, it just imprisons. Wanting to be different or non mainstream is a paradox. Teenage kicks......
