Durante más de un año, el equipo de fans ha estado trabajando en la post-producción de este episodio, basado en un guión escrito originalmente por David Gerrold para Star Trek: The Next Generation en 1987 y que fue rechazado por su temática sobre el virus del SIDA y la homosexualidad masculina.

Maltrechos tras una dura batalla con los klingon, el Enterprise y su tripulación han de acudir a socorrer a una nave científica. Entre los nuevos tripulantes se encuentra el sobrino del capitán Kirk, Peter, que ha conseguido ser asignado al Enterprise para poder estar cerca de su amigo y amante, el teniente Alex Freeman. Ambos jóvenes formarán parte del equipo de rescate, descubriendo que lo que ha ocurrido en la nave científica es más terrible de lo que nadie hubiera podido imaginar.

Pursued and damaged by repeated Klingon attacks, the crew of the Enterprise must respond to the distress call from a Federation research ship. In a matter of hours the ship and crew will be consumed by a nearby star and the crew of the Enterprise will be consumed by an mysterious horror that threatens both ships as the Klingons watch and wait. Guest starring Evan Fowler and introducing Bobby Rice a Ensign Peter Kirk, nephew of the Captain. Written and Directed by David Gerrold. Teleplay by Carlos Pedraza. This episode was filmed in June of 2007 and will be released in 2008.
