CRIME AND PUNISHMENT
by: Juliet Clark.

So you ask for fairness
And Political freedom to exercise
Ampatuan will never let anybody
running and cross their territory

One journalist was proud to tell his wife,
I will be on prime time TV,
Maybe my family will somehow be proud of me?

As its all going wrong,
Ampatuan armies stopped the convoy
Of Media and normal citizen
Scared voice on the phone,
My love, we are being stopped
By 100 of goons and criminals
Who vow to finish us.

You take the innocent people hostages,
And command on their knees
You gag and tie their hands
They beg you not to kill them,
Their life means nothing to you
Hot steel in your hands,
One click they're forever gone.

The victims will utter,
Here comes our fate
A hail of bullets takes us down,
Into the ground, we fall, and frown,

And as we fall to the ground,
Our life is now, no more,
Without a chance to say goodbye
And we are going 6ft underground,

Maguindanao fate?
Was it the choices I made in life?
Or the child that I was,
Who lived inside a movie?
That somehow, was, once was.
Somehow forgotten.

No one will ever understand,
Every bullets a question,
No one will dare to answer,
But thank God the evidence
Pointed straight to Ampatuan clan.

Journalists and innocent victims
Have done nothing wrong,
Youre just doing your job and hour of need,
To exercise your rights and freedom
To better the situation of your beautiful home land.

Tell the world what its all about,
The corrupted country you are in
Who neglected to protect you.
And let this happened.

The camera, and the reporters,
mean nothing to Ampatuan
They're blinded by power and greed
And think they are God to you
You must abide and not say or else you'll go.

R.I.P. to all the 59 victims of this massacre. May Justice will prevail for your martyrdom. God bless your family that you left behind.
~ Juliet ~

  • War, terrorism, violence ... these things in the world should disappear.

  • As you can see in the 1st slide (Map), I was born and raise in Davao City opposite of our city is Cotabato where the massacre took place. The only border is the Mt. Apo and other smaller mountains. Maguindanao is our neighbor that's in wage of war for freedom to have their own country/states and wanted to separate from the Philippine Government for decades. That is biggest the problem in the southern Mindanao but the city where I grow up is very clean and peaceful.

  • Really? It's closer to where you were born?

You'll make a lot of worry. Everyone knows you all right?

Oh, I can disappear from the earth like that happen.

  • Yes, but I live in the US for over 2 decades and occasionally visits my homeland once or twice a year because I have a house there.

  • Did you have a good time in Seoul? Personal journey and not business? Have family over there?

I am doing well. I am currently attending a state training and will be done on Friday. I just started to join in a gym last Tuesday so I spend 1 hour a day in the gym. I just found out today that a very good friend of mine who I have not seen in 5 months has stage 4 cancer. I am sad :(

  • The poems in favor of the plaintiff publishers sent by elaboration,

Traveled to Seoul for a few days.

    It was a personal journey.

    and you?

  • I agree with you my friend. We need peace.

    How have you been?
