After watching an episode of Samauri Champloo, two things came to mind. One of them being Nujabes, the musical composer for the show. The other being Miyamoto Musashi, the godfather of modern day samurai. I felt it was interesting that one of the greatest warriors of all time had so many beliefs which can be carried over into one of the least combative forms of the martial arts, tricking.

  • @flippinthescript I already got that from your statement before, but you fail to realize one can trick for whatever purpose he/she wants. I don't trick for "aesthetics", I trick for body awareness, conditioning, and technique improvement. All of those supplement my years of martial arts. To say tricking is not meant for combat is naive. Speak for yourself...

  • @theendlesssuffering Whatever dude. Tricking is not meant for fighting. You know it. I know it. Don't call me naive. Who are you? Stop being a jerk.

  • @flippinthescript If you reexamine your analogy you'll see that you've basically conceded in that what I said was true. So, what then, is your point?

  • @theendlesssuffering My point is that martial arts tricks are not practiced for, nor designed for self defense or combative situations. They are practiced for reasons of aesthetics and self expression. Technically, anything can be used in a fight - like a lead pipe - but like a lead pipe, tricking's purpose has nothing to do with combat.

  • Ugh the info says least combative but that's not true. Tricking is combative and dangerous if it wants to be.

  • @theendlesssuffering A lead pipe can be dangerous if you want it to be, that doesn't mean that's what it was designed for.
