This is really a great song sung by the right singer. I first heard this, like several others here, over the closing credits of "RUSTLERS' RHAPSODY". Except only the first verse is heard over the credits, not the second. Saw Rustlers Rapsody @ the theater & LOVED it. Seriously under-rated parody. Immediately bought it on VHS when that came out then fell in love with this tune! Never listened to a lot of country but I thought this was just a great song, arranged perfectly, the lyrics are fantastic and Garry's nearly operatic voice just belted the sucker into the outer atmosphere!
