This is an excerpt from a full length DVD available at www.ProAudioDVDs.com. Host David Wills has toured with major artists such as Michael Jackson, Phil Collins, Whitney Houston, Chicago and Diana Ross and provides you with a professional's perspective but always demonstrated in an informal, easy to understand way.

  • I just bought the R24 and it appears to be controlling the Cubase software. I can also hear the mic I have plugged in through the phones but I get get a level to register on the software. Only the R24 shows a level. Thanks, Help would be awesome!

  • @solrac4 I just bought the R24 and I'm experiencing the same thing. Have you perhaps found out how to do it? Any help would be appreciated and If I find a solution, I'll pass it back to you. Thanks.

  • @bjornsj89 be sure the r-16 is connected to your computer before launching cubase. you may have to re-start cubse a couple of times but eventually the software will recognize the r-16 and offer it up as an option.

  • Question: Why can't you midi map, with for example traktor, the knobs. Why arent the knobs mapable? :(

  • my zoom does all of those things, but it does not record- can somebody help me?

  • @bjornsj89 not sure why he mentioned MIDI. The R series do not have MIDI capabilities. You can get a USB to MIDI adapter however if you're using this with a PC. If you're not using it with a PC or separate MIDI sequencer, you're out of luck.

  • I just bought this device and I love it. But the only problem I am having is when I go into Mackie it doesn't have the Zoom R16 to select for the MIDI in/output. What is the solution for this?

  • that was pretty cool thanks for posting !!

could i still use the g and h keys for zoom? I wanna guess yes?

  • so can i use it to play back audio on my computer

  • does it perform the same with pro tools?
