I'm not using recording function as I have no devices connected to 6500 and have no HDTV module (sold separately). But you can read it in 6500 feature list.
And it says: "Moreover, it can receive video/audio signals from DVD players, set-top boxes and satellite receivers, and then record the broadcasts. When recording, you can select the recording quality, and it also provides Time-Shifting function which allows you to check the recording status."

Hi,
6500 model is no longer produced and supported by DVICO. So you should look for newer models like 6600. But can't tell you anything about 6600.

can u see icon of all movies as standard or is this some kind of mod you have done on your tvix? and about the info about every movie, is that something you have modded yourself?

can you access the files from the pc while the device is turned on?? thanks a lot

Yes. You can access via FTP or through a network share while device is ON. Even the the movies are watched you can access device from the network.

This is the first time I've seen tVix running, and Im impressed. Smooth and fast menus, not what I expected. It's a nice looking menu system, Quite impressed by it visually.
Do you think you could put up a demo of it playin music and/or the picture functions?
Also, do you have any criticisms of the box?

Sorry that I'm posting my reply only today. Just had no time to look into comments on my video. Unfortunally I can't upload video now.
The box has some shortcomings (sometime hangs during ff operation etc.). But in general - I'm more than happy. For me personally it's better than Popcorn Hour 110. But of course it's 2x more expensive.
