How can anyone live for $18,000 per year gross pay? I made between $6,000 - $8,000 a month as a flight instructor. If the US Airlines want me they are going to have to match that. Hence why I moved to Russia. USA is on its way to becoming a major exporter of qualified pilots. The ones that stay are the scabs with 250 hours that are willing to work for $18K a year.
Keep killing more people.

Uhhh Southwest Airlines pilots are some of the most productive pilots on earth not only for their type (B737) but for just their field of work...and they're union. Unions do not make anyone lazy, people choose to make themselves lazy.
