Mouth Trumpet 101

How to make trumpet sound effects with your mouth.

I first demo the tequnique, then explain mouth position, then talk about how the tequnique works, and finally i give lots of tips to give you some stuff to work on!

Key points:
possition-bottom lip curled, and brought slightly in front of the bottom lip. keep the sides of your mouth open by grinning a little.

airflow- push your air towards the front two teeth/closed touching lips. because your lips are closed, your cheeks will fill up, and push air out the two holes on the sides of your mouth. this causes your lips to vibrate where they are not touching, and when they vibrate just the right amount- you get a troumpet sound! think full sound!

tips:
high pitch- say "Eee" or "Tee"
mid range- say "Ta"
low- say "Oh" or "Aw"
side of the mouth - attack sound
full mouth - fuller sound
learn to beatbox, give stacato notes a lot of attack!
bend notes, and vabrato is much like in harmonica- which i totally recomend learning!
