The US govt wanted general Dostum to lead the fight and with Massoud out of the way that transition to Dostum becoming Cheif commander would go smoothly. Dostum is also Uzbek and a bloodthirsty ruthless killer. We all know 911 was planned well in advance, it's no surprise Massoud was assassinated 2 days before 911

The govt did a scheme where they offered to buy back old and unregistered weapons, our country had alot of old WW2 weapons that were unregistered, that was what they took and you can still have weapons here.
