My over 80 year old mom has a real Lord (abysinnian wild colored that way in about 8.6kg muscles) running around inside the house and garden inspected as thoroughly - done this for six years! The Lord listens to the name of Felix und von der Druttlebocken Terrible, geborn Bahera, and so on (hehehehe)
My mother and Lord Felix shows every day, from early morning to late evening an unreserved love for one another. Very romantic to see this Shakespeare drama played out every day.

Beautiful (blue?) Aby. I had a red which I lost to amyloidosis. Enjoyed him very much and am getting a blue around July. Abys are very loyal and affectionate.

I'm thinking about an Aby too, my only concern is he needs to be gentle with my 2 year old. Also how is shedding? do you have hair on the furniture?

He's always been pretty gentle with toddlers. Overall he doesn't shed that much but at the change of seasons he'll shed a lot for a few days. He has his own catbed so most of his fur is on that and not on the furniture.

He seems very affectionate. I'm thinking about having an aby but like you said, it would probably be better if I had two or atleast another cat with the aby. Does your cat mind to be left alone during the day?

I work from home right now, but he's usually asleep during most of the day.

That was so adorable! Do you have only one aby? What is his personality like?

Yes, I only have one, and even though I give him lots of attention I think he would love to have another animal around. He's extremely affectionate with me although not much of a 'lap-cat', but he's social and likes to be around people. Very curious, energetic, smart... in some ways like a dog.
