I'd encourage people to read Petra Bartosiewicz' article in Harper's magazine, called 'To Catch a Terrorist' (you can get it as a .pdf from Harper's website). Basically, it reveals evidence of the FBI engaging in what is essentially entrapment, implicating individuals to score prosecutions in the "war on terror". Put in the context of this conversation & linked with the NDAA, it paints a grim picture for the future, I think.
