  • this is all true and most of it can be found in the church's very own books. i just finished The history of the church series and it ALL conflicts with what we tell people today. LIES LIES LIES. I just left the church and pray for all still in it. there IS life outside this chuch of lies. COME TO the TRUE CHRIST he is the light he is the way HE is the bread of life. If your eternal salvation rests on Joe smith you better find out what and who he is. Thumb THAT up

  • Fact, Joseph Smith is DEAD!, Mohamid is DEAD! James Jones is DEAD!, Jesus is ALIVE and LIVES FOREVER and sits on the right hand of GOD. Now, which of these people do you want to know? Which words would you believe and faith in? It is man that uses religon to separate man from man for what purpose but to self glorify themselves. FOOLS ALL. For many false prophets will come a fool many. Jesus said, I am the light and the way. No one comes unto the Father unless through me.

  • @Jack44M I had that happen to me a number of years back, too. We were discussing the fraudulence of the Book of Abraham and the "senior" missionary suddenly got up with tears in his eyes, and told the other one "Let's go." I felt bad for the poor kid. Tried to comfort him B4 they left, but unfortunately, when you're with a fraudulent church and your "testimony" is based on emotion, being caught flatfooted w/unflattering facts about the church can separate one from their emotional moorings.

  • @VassiliZaitsev12

Since the marriages were illegal I doubt they would want to provide evidence...ie marriage cert.

People *DID* find out....read the Nauvoo Expositor

  • Read the Autobiography of Parley P. Pratt, he explains the truth of what happened to the men who killed Joseph and Hyrum and their confessions that they Now believe Joseph to be a True Prophet of The Lord...and read of the Vile deaths his murderers suffered

Quit bein ridiculous an learn facts from the REAL sources

  • Why am I suppose to think this guy is being more honest than others?

A naive Mormon missionary says I have a testimony that this is true. Maybe the testimony is more focused on the faith then if their where guns in the room or not. I mean come on, of course that's what the testimony is about.

The first layer of insight is doubting faith. The second layer of insight is doubting the doubt. You never explain the doubt of the doubt enough.

  • Wouldn't marriage certification be around for each of Smith's marriage to prove how many he had? Or, is that just nonsense talk?

Also, how could you secretly have 20 or 30 wives without anyone finding out. I think everyone would have known that he had 20 or 30 wives he was with considering how small Nauvoo was.
