Activate/Use iPhone 3G, 3GS, 4 with GoPhone Prepaid SIM Card

I ordered an AT&T GoPhone 3G SIM Card off eBay and called AT&T to have them activate it. It took 10 minutes, then the lady gave me my number. I then went to Walgreens and bought a $25 Pay As You Go card. I called 611 and got the $19.99 unlimited texting package. I am now using my iPhone 3G with a prepaid service.

(PS- THE 3G SERVICE DOESN'T WORK FOR ME BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE 3G WHERE I LIVE, SO EVEN THOUGH IT'S A 3G SIM CARD, I UNFORTUNATELY HAVE TO USE EDGE, BUT IT'S NO BIG DEAL.)

If I was to do this, and got unlimited texting, is there a way to turn of that notification where it says your balance after EVERY text?

ive already been using my sim card in my gophone, can i still use it? is all i do is put it in the iphone?

@CorruptCollaboration if your iphone is from at&t it should be working but if it is not from at&t then since your have have iso 5 your baseband also upgraded and even if it is jailbroken your iphone can't read sim cards from other carriers.
