@goatboyify It was actually written by Tom Evans and Pete Ham, members of Badfinger. Theirs is also the original recording of this song, but it pales compared to Harry's and Mariah's versions. Harry's is better though.

Badfinger did the original - period - Nilsson ownes the best version hands down, not to take away the quality of the original - no song - no Harry version

Badfinger released the song on Nov. 9, 1970...Nilsson's version came out on Oct. 11, 1971, nearly a year after theirs!
