Thousand times yes. For undergrad an Engineering degree or Economics degree will give you a fighting chance at something rather than nothing.

I seen some people even do Biochem degree "just in case." Which - if you are insane/genius enough to do - would be a great degree to have that also opens lot of doors.

DHB is right. If you have the credentials to get into lawschool you can do anything. I'm pretty sure I don't want to be a lawyer (2L now), but w/ scholarships and a prior career I'll graduate with little debt and options. With a bit of creativity and a strong enough mind to get into lawschool, the world will be your oyster regardless of what you choose.

Re: undergrad: an engineering degree will be very powerful no matter what you decide.

  • @malman0789

Not necessarily true. There are many ways to go around the debt or pay the debt. Also that's not accounting the chance the person may receive scholarships.

If you didn't pick up any debt paying/negotiating skills before law school or even at law school... you fell behind with non-book education.

  • @DirtyHeartbeat No, most people who come to the realization that they need to practice law once they're in law school, because nothing else will have a chance at paying off that 100-150k in debt + possible undergrad debt once they graduate.

  • @oyesifal

It's a good goal to have. Work towards it since you'll have great credentials for anything else if you are working toward a law school .

You'll be more certain in undergrad - but DO NOT take any liberal arts major (philosophy, English, etc) in case you change your mind about law school

Most people don't know until they are in law school till they know they want to be a lawyer. But a law degree opens may doors beyond just becoming a lawyer.

  • I request that you write a comedy film called: Dmitri Martin plays with dolls!

Is a great excuse to make puppets and hire puppeteers.

    :)

psychic warning of the day: please be sure to get a cancer screening early and avoid it all together

I cracked the lottery again. I'm sure someone cares SOMEWHERE.

  • this scares me bacause im the 15 year old wanting to become a lawyer when i grow up.

  • @starryeyed110796 you just blew my fucking mind!!!
