  • Awesome beginning, a visual feast!

  • Hey Mr. DeBari I was wondering if I could ever be in any of your films about the jersey devil because I too have always been fascinated by all the stories I've heard over the years ever since I heard about the jersey devil in elementary school lol.

  • Thanks for the book recommendation and that's great about finishing school-:)

    Look for Episode 2 soon!!

  • I like Forked River, lived in Manahawkin & on Long Beach Island for years... love all the shipwreck lore, and of course the pirate treasure, I believe in that for sure. You should get your hands on "NJ Shipwrecks: 350 yrs in the Graveyard of the Atlantic" big hardback, great photos, authur is Bucholz.

I'm in Medford now (Burlington County) while I finish school about 30 yrs too late, but plan on moving back to Ocean County after I graduate.

By the way, I wish there WAS a jersey devil

  • I got ya Chief. I've read about Legends and Lore in South Jersey and love it all-Captain Kidd, Jersey Shore Wreckers, etc...I've centered on the Jersey Devil because I've always been fascinated with the Legend ever since camping in Forked River as a Child-:)

  • please re- read what I wrote. camping usually requires an overnight stay in the woods. I 'd say I probably spent more night hours in the pines than day hrs. R there any supernatural presences in the pines? Ghosts of the indians, early settlers, revolutionary war deserters, murder victims - the mafia used the pine barrens as a burial ground for many years - so yes, maybe. its so big, a beautiful yet creepy, desolate place.. But no half horse half bat devil flying around, not that I ever saw.
