Sufjan Stevens- For the Widows In Paradise, For the Fatherless in Ypsilanti COVER

Once upon a time, in the magically diverse land of Youtube, there formed a man whose name was Sufjan Stevens. Not only is Sufjan a fantastic singer/songwriter/writer; he can also be likened to a shapeshifter. He is mostly seen in humanoid form but occasionally, the people of Youtube have seen him assume the shape of a majestic song bird, a giant wasp, a rock, a rake, Godzuki, or a monkey to name a few. A large number of pixelated (320p, 420p 720p) people, followed this man and adored his music (some of which vowed to marry him). The true believers of Sufjan, will wait patiently for a package they have ordered a few months back and when it arrives, they will have to show the world. What was in this package was my 5 string banjo. So, the true believer would sit awhile strumming a G chord (because you dont have to learn any fingering for that chord) letting the sound resonate around the walls of his listening bedroom, thinking of a way to share this great instrument with the world. After spending minutes in Youtube, he decided to cover "For the Widows in Paradise", not realizing that it is one of the most covered Sufjan songs in Youtube. Nonetheless, the true follower accomplished his mission; by sharing his passion to the world (355 views...). This cover is nothing special, its hardly original, but the song is very dear to me and i hope you enjoy.

Maybe some more Sufjan...but i've been playing a lot of Beirut with a newly acquired ukelele, and also been doing some Grizzly Bear covers but i have no intention on posting at this point. I've been getting into song writing too so this is possibly my next project.. Thanks for watching.

Sufjan is my favorite musician of all time. Noone I know seems to really get just how amazing he is except for me... Good cover :] And you're not hard to look at either ;]
