Even though the computer itself is great for its value its design a complete failure. They should seriously have made it with just a couple of screws in the back to reach the hard drive and ram.. end of story

Thanks for this video. Helped me drop an ssd in my g53sx.

@TheKamikazePR Thank you very much for answering my question. I think they wouldn't have included the caddy though if it wasn't under warranty (I have the SW).
Hi, I love all the help this video was for me (best in all the web). Now I do have a small issue with re assembling The little gap on the right side which you mention. I do try to put preassure on it but the lock never makes it all the way to the right side. its like almost there but not there.
Any pointers for that?

Hi, if I were to buy any of the G53 variety, does it come with an second HD tray?

@protocl As of right now, the only G53 that ASUS is manufacturing is the G53SX-DH71 (which is available on our website - xoticpc.com) and it does have a 2nd HDD bay...hope that helps :)

@avdepaz - a service department representative will be able to assist you better with your question. service[at]xoticpc.com - they will be able to answer your question within 24 business hours. but more than likely, simply removing the back panel on most machines does not void the warranty - hope that helps :)
