Glassell Park Neighborhood Council chairman "NFN Bradley" discusses videotaping with a Glassell Park Stakeholder. These meetings are covered under the "Brown Act" and therefore anyone and everyone can record/video/photograph them without any obligation to supply any copies to anyone.

  • I cannot tell you how disturbing this video was to watch! I just bought a home in the area and I can't imagine these people having ANYTHING to do with my neighborhood. Dayana Molina and this Bradley person (who is the worst!) and Jennifer Rojo need to be somewhere OTHER than having control over this meeting. What the hell are they so scared of? Well, obviously they're afraid of looking like the idiots they are--which is perfectly shown on this video.

  • Just FYI, the female who equals BRADLEY in harrassing the stakeholder is Paula Bagasao not Dayana Molina.

  • So this is who is in charge of Glassell? No wonder its so fucked up.

  • Even then it's a fine line. Local news films meetings all the time and displays them to the public without consequence. You retain the same rights as a citizen. Even more so if you are a resident of that community. I say we all go down and attend the next meeting, all with camcorders in hand.

  • If I were to go videotape on Hollywood Blvd per say, I think I would have a hard time getting release forms signed from the few thousand people that potentially may be in any of the frames. It is not illegal to film an open, public meeting such as this. You are only breaking the law if they end up in a movie, or production that is open to the public.

  • Umm....yeah, see we have a "freedom of the press" in America. This pertains to all of it's citizens, and not just news affiliates. The only way that you would need release forms from the officials is if you are making a production that would generate an income for yourself or your company.

  • A most disheartening aspect of the neighborhood council system is that there is no consequences for "neighborhood council(NC) officials behaving badly" from any government entity- they will not do anything about even the most flagrant abuses of their position- The whole NC experiment may need to be scrapped.

  • Claiming the City Attorney said this or that... isn't a defense in court. The council should invite a city attorney to attend the meeting or better get the city attorney opinion in writing.

  • Ummm, communists, yeah, except that these boards are often dominated by developers. By definition, they are capitalists.

  • Isn't this a PUBLIC meeting? If something is public, it's public. Not only should you be able to tape it, it should be publicly archived and distributed. They should be taping it themselves, and posting it on the net, themselves.

  • Yes get that man. Ignorance is the worst and most dangerous thing in public office!

  • What an arrogant public official!
