Legend is one of my favorite movies of all time. Due to popular demand I've decided to upload the original soundtrack for the movie by Jerry Goldsmith.
This soundtrack is simply outstanding. I wish I could get the fan version of it!
Enjoy

  • LaMissFa1ry, is cue 4 'Living River' still available. Doesn't seem to be working.

Thanks for posting this score. I had the original 1990's Silva Screen release and am grateful to hear the whole score again.

  • No problem.

Yes, living river seems to work fine for me ^^

And I'm not sure if it is, I think so.

  • Oh yeah. I'm from Europe so I was spared from dealing with two versions of the movie. Jerry Goldsmith's music is fabulous.

  • An astounding piece of music. Unlike anything I've ever heard.

  • May be innocent, may be sweet... ain't half as nice as rotting meat.

  • oh snap i was looking all around for the music to this thanks missfairy!

  • @Kie10McC as someone who grew up watching the jerry goldsmith version until bbc2 started randomly playing the US version of the film i can say u are right it is definatly the other way around lol

  • I've always loved the movie but HATED the soundtrack. Until I heard THIS version. Wow was I happy when I found out Jerry Goldsmith did the original score! It's soooo much better.

That is so true. As a child I watched Legend and it was the US version (although I am English) and I have had an attatchment to the Tangerine Dream soundtrack with the movie ever since, it brings back such memories and I can't seem to relate Goldsmiths to the film, I'm sure it would be the other way around had I seen Goldsmiths version first. But in terms of nostalgia, Tangerime Dream just brings back a part of my childhoof

  • I thought I liked the 80s electronic keyboard movie, until I saw the Goldsmith version and it was like having my IQ cranked from 80 to 160. It was magical. But if you have nostalgic memories of tripping to the electronic keyboarding score, you might be resistant...

  • @Kooshmeister3

LOL. Then its a shame Stan Bush wasn't available! ^_^

  • @SamusDrake Scott himself has said he wanted a more "rock-n-roll" score, so there is your answer.

  • The mexican R4 DVD had Goldsmith score, but recently they broadcasted Legend in TV and they used Tangerine Dream music. It,s kinda weird.

  • Much of this was used for the cut original version of the opening sequence.
