@thewildeman2 Nope. I don't interact with people period. I don't work yet and am still in school, using a co respondance program I use at home.

It's a lot to learn. I relate it to learning a new language. It takes time and never will be 100% for us.

I have a hard time picking up social cues, but i'm getting better.I ask my mom if I hadn't gotten help, what could've happened to me,she said that i'd be the same way I am today, but i'd be a little worse off.

I'm an adult with HFA, and never felt the need to have friends. I always feel suffocated by other people and never get any enjoyment from being around them. My bearded dragon is my best friend and all I need. Human interaction isn't worth it.

@misspinkpunkykat A lot of people don't understand that or how it develops. It's hard on us too. Do you deal with people in general? Like at work or anyplace else?

Oh my gosh I have autism, and sometimes it feels like my mom hates me for it. I am really high-functioning, but that doesn't mean I don't have my problems. Like I can't eat meat or gelatin, yeast, ketchup, all because they have animal products in them, and the mental images actually make me experience the sensory things, and I have a few other sensory problems. Yes, I am HIGH functioning, but that doesn't mean that I can just "get over it", thanks for reminding me, there are others like me.
