Your supposed to tie a bloody chicken to the end of one of your paddles and entice it closer. That's when you get the good shots, as they leap out of the water to grab the yard bird... Cool video, Mike.

I've been thinking about getting a kayak to do some fishing in as I don't have a hitch and all that...just a roof rack. However, this vid is exactly why I WON'T do that. LoL. I live in an area that is pretty infested with gators (we actually get them as roadkill every once in a while), and while you were o.k., I would have panicked if I saw that eye and tipped into the water, to be forever known as Gator Bait.

Lol Actually, I'm a Louisiana boy but have been in Florida for two years. I was just passing through Daphne with my kayak and put it in the water after seeing the number of gator out there. I've got a great new video of a recent free dive in Florida. The video is called, 'The Gulf is Alive' Check it out.

Gator feed more at night, but unless it's a big one, I don't think you'll have a problem. Might matter if they are fed by someone in teh area also. But don't get out the boat ;) Btw, sounds like a place I'd love to fish. I went yesterday but my cmaera has been broken for some time. Hope it's fixed soon.
