This video is shown to groups who visit the National Peanut Museum, just off I-75, Tifton, Georgia. The museum is located in the Welcome Center of the Georgia Agrirama. It features vintage peanut production equipment including the original prototype peanut combine manufactured by Lilliston Equipment Company in coorperation with the University of Georgia.
The video explains how peanuts came to America, peanut production from planting to harvest and manufacturing peanuts into peanut butter, crackers, and candies.
I saw this film two years ago at the National Peanut Museum while on a research trip to the south for my upcoming book "Creamy and Crunchy: An Informal History of Peanut Butter, the All-American Food."
