@firewacker432 No, the public need to be informed on how to interface their homes around the Urban Interface. Keeping grass cut and watered! 30 feet of defendable area around a home free from flamables. Notice that the fire goes slower in the short grass compared to the taller grass. Short grass and a garden hose would have slowed the fire in the guys backyard. Dry Chem extinguisher will put down the flames, but will not put out the fire.

Pump and go hose lay with a couple of engines fighting from the black is about the only thing you can do on a fire like that.

@sethrooo123 im pretty sure nevada

@NukeUrNeighbors agreed was stunned to see only one person with a garden hose trying to keep it back, and that proved another problem, looked like the pressure was really bad, and dry chem will only slow a grass fire, it needs to be cooled aswell as smothered or it just continues to smoulder and lights up as soon as it hits fresh grass

@Dom303030 one man could not have done anything based on the wind and fuel load. A brush truck would have a hard time keeping up with this one, though it could be done. Forget diggin a fire line, fire is to fast, forget a garden hose....its like peeing on a bonefire!
-
the public needs to know how to dig a fire line during brush fires so they can be contained..... and also.. good work to the guy with the fire extinguisher for being late on puting the fire out..but good job for being accully brave and try to put the fire out...
