End results. I am playing Street Fighter Alpha 3. You can clearly see how easy it is for me to do the moves. NOTE that this mod was done on the old PHAT psp and not the newer versions.

  • Wow, all that trouble just to be able to do a simple fireball or jump backwards without any problems. That's why I hate non video game corporations making video games, clearly the focus for the PSP was to sell Sony movies. Nintendo would have never made a system where doing a fireball would be almost impossible, simply because they're a video game company. 360 D Pad crap, Genesis D-Pad awesome. Etc.

I won't be able to make it for a while but when I do it'll be on my channel which is focused on video game stuff. If I remember I will let you know when it is up :D

  • @AniBenNerd Cool! Drop a photo or a video of it. :D

  • @DarkWolf80s

Epic, I am doing that with my old ps1 pad, but I am thinking of making a massive arcade stick just for MDK... It might have to happen.

  • @AniBenNerd All I used was a paper hole puncher, sissorcer, small blue LED lights, soldering iron and my old PS1 controller (Broken) Used it's cables to soder my led to the d-pad. It's better to recycle old stuff for new projects.

  • @DarkWolf80s

I am soon making an arcade stick for my ps1/2 which is quite cool but I like how you did the ps3 light up pads :D Did you get a small hole/clear buttons and put an led under so when it is in contact is lights up. (or somthing like that)?

  • @AniBenNerd It's actually fun. But this is nothing. What's even better than this is me modding my ps3 d-pad controller to light up. You actually learn a lot by experimenting on these things. And to be quite honest i'm no electric technician I just follow the old rule. Monkey See Monkey do and it works just fine. There are tones of vids on youtube that shows you how to do it. :)

  • @DarkWolf80s

Now I wanna psv even more. You seem to be able to make me want things/ want to do things XD

  • @AniBenNerd If the the upcoming PSP PSPVITA needs it. Sure I'll definitely do it. :D

  • @DarkWolf80s

I remember that dpad, the psp2000 isn't much better, it is really the psp 3000 that doesn't need it. And now I wanna play some alpha 3 :D Anyway, maybe one day you should re do this video :D

  • @AniBenNerd I did actually tested it out with Darkstalkers a long time ago. But yea I didn't upload the video for it. But there shouldn't be any issue with the recent psp models. This was mod was done of the first psp launch date.
