PSP D-Pad Mod fix

how is this fixing it!!!!

(Sigh)... You are one of the many people that I have encountered who yet AGAIN failed to read the video description before posting a comment.

i have a spare d-pad from a broken saturn controller i've been thinking about superglueing to the d-pad on my fat psp, if i can get it on there then i think that would be the ultimate psp fighting system.

it wouldn't work. I've actually tried that and with the old ps1 d-pad. Problem is the plastic part of the d-pad has a total different shape from the PSP version. Your best bet is to only push the d-pad controller of the FAT psp by a small notch. Best thing to give Fat PSP that small bump up is to use an old NES video game cartridge holder or any plastic material of that same material. Apply little of hot glue gun (not super Glue) and your done! :)

Will the d-pad feel exactly the same as the 2000 one with this mod? Thx

OH Definitly dude! !00% I can do all my SF and Tekken moves easily on the old Fat psp. However, in the newer PSP models like the 2000 you mentioned or the Slim version of the PSP, you don't need this mod as Sony realized that the d-pad before cannot go in all direction smoothly.

Wow, all that trouble just to be able to do a simple fireball or jump backwards without any problems. That's why I hate non video game corporations making video games, clearly the focus for the PSP was to sell Sony movies. Nintendo would have never made a system where doing a fireball would be almost impossible, simply because they're a video game company. 360 D Pad crap, Genesis D-Pad awesome. Etc.

meh... oh well. That's Sony for you :S. But they fixed the d-pad right now with the new Slip PSP. It's just that the old Fat has a problem.
